# Do I get a notification when my baby cries?

## You will be notified when the base detects crying, with a sound that distinguishes the baby's crying from other sounds to the greatest extent possible.

Yes. The base detects crying and sends an audio alert to the app when it detects clear crying activity. The sound is filtered so that normal background noises and adult conversations are less likely to trigger alerts, while the baby's crying is prioritized. When a crying alert occurs, you will be notified on your phone, so you can quickly assess whether your baby needs comfort or follow-up.
